How it WorksRescueTime Empower starts with a small application is installed on each employee's machine which measures only what software or web site is actively being used. Employees can pause the monitoring process at any time for 15 or 60 minute intervals. Admins can see a variety of reports showing how time is spent in the company, from aggregate reports showing the entire team, to custom groups showing smaller teams, to reports showing individual employee time. Each employee has their own dashboard, where they can see their own time compared to their typical peer (but cannot see other employee's individual data). This data is processed in realtime "in the cloud", which means you don't have to set up any servers, databases, backup procedures, or anything else that takes you away from mission-critical work.
