How Secure Is RescueTime?

Our customers have demanding security and privacy requirements. RescueTime is designed for with rigorous security standards, using the same technology used by online banks.

What assurances can I give my team about privacy?

Individuals have full control over time logged in RescueTime. They can choose to only log time during a certain schedule if they wish (e.g. during working hours), or they can choose to turn off logging for applications they’d rather not track. RescueTime only records data about the time spent in different applications and websites. It does not (and won’t ever) record keystrokes, take screenshots, or inspect the contents of documents that are being worked on.

Who uses RescueTime for Organizations?

From support teams to software engineering departments, RescueTime is well suited for teams who want to collaboratively work to improve the time they spend on important activities.

What will we learn with RescueTime?

The most common thing teams generally learn when using RescueTime is that the time they spend on key activities - the most important things for driving the business forward - is much less than they expected. Often, this is the result of communication patterns within the group (lots of meetings, laborious status logging systems, general email and chat. Many of these things can be quickly corrected once they are uncovered.
